Calgary loves its farmers’ markets, with crowds regularly storming venues for fresh local produce on weekends. Food isn’t all that’s available though: there are all kinds of surprises to be found at the region’s markets.
- Calgary Farmers’ Market: One of the city’s most popular markets. Open all year – offering meat, seafood, dairy, farm produce, prepared foods, crafts and unique items, located at 510 77 Avenue SE (near Blackfoot & Heritage). Currently open Thurs-Sun 9-5pm
- Crossroads Market: Calgary’s largest year-round indoor/outdoor market, Crossroads occupies a unique 1920's heritage building in Ramsay. 1235 26 Ave SE Currently open Fri-Sun 9-5pm
- Bearspaw Lions Farmers’ Market: Just west of the Calgary city limits off of Crowchild Trail, the Bearspaw Farmers’ Market operates every Sunday 10-2pm from June to October.
- Millarville Farmers’ Market: Southern Alberta’s largest outdoor summer market – there are over 170 vendors – can be found just south of Calgary in Millarville.
